Trouble with micro modules

I'm trying to sense 120v using a micro module. Specifically, I'm using the open close micro module, and I have connected the yellow sense wire to the alarm light of the septic system. Communication isn't great, but I finally did pair it. Is the RF bad on these micro modules? Anyways. I can turn the module on and off from the admin console, but it does not come on in response to applying 120v at the sense wire.

How does the ISY support the open/close module? I see little in the line of options and the status and control options don't seem quite right. Shouldn't I be able to tell if sense 1 or sense 2 are triggered? Shouldn't the state be able to be UP/DOWN/ or stationary?

That's not the purpose of the Open/close Module. The Open/Close module provides temporary power to a reversible motor to open and or close shutters or shades. Power is applied long enough to accomplish the task and then shuts off.

The module you want/need is an On/Off module,

BTW, have you ensured that the alarm light provides 120VAC?

Yes it does provide 120vac. The load of the module is not connected. All I need to do is sense that the "up" sense wire has been turned on. Even momentarily, that would be enough.

Hmmm... Well it started working. Leaving the first two options unchecked, and checking the third option, seemed to do the trick.

Momentary and Dual line both unchecked.

Line high always on; Line low always off.. checked.
