Can't Add Insteon Thermostats

Featured Replies

I was trying to add Insteon Model 2441ZTH Thermostat to my system and I get a New Device error. ( Cannot determine Insteon Engine )

See the attachement.

Any suggestions?

I have an access point within 10 feet of this thermostat.

Thanks

Since it is a battery operated module and is in a power saving mode.

Did you wake it up by holding the Set Button until it beeps before trying to add it?

Yes, The ISY can see the Thermostat but shortly after I click on the finished button ( Link Devices) the error message comes up.

Which firmware and UI are you running?

Did you try moving the thermostat closer to a dual band device?

The ISY is seeing the thermostat as it's detecting its firmware version.

You might want to try a reboot on the ISY.

Maybe also try a fresh set of batteries.

Did you do a factory reset on the thermostat after changing the batteries?
