Ecobee - Equipment Status

Featured Replies

Hi io_guy,

Is there any way that you can add the current equipment status to Ecobee in Nodelink?  Looking at the api docs, it looks like it will be returned if the "request Selection object has the includeEquipmentStatus flag set to true".  I have a multistage heat pump / gas furnace system, and it would be super helpful if I can determine which function is running.

Thanks!!!

Chris

I already set includeEquipmentStatus, I just have it using basic values of heat/cool/auto/off.

So basically you'd just need heat/cool/auto/off/heat2/cool2?

Yeah, the ones I'm looking for specifically are heatPump, heatPump2, compCool1, compCool2, auxHeat1, and auxHeat2.  If possible, that would be fantastic!

Thanks!

Would heat pump and auxheat be on at the same time? Right now all status is a single ISY variable.

Ah, interesting question.  In my particular case no, as I have a gas furnace as aux heat - so it's either one or the other.  However if someone had electric heat strips as aux heat, then yes, both could be operational at the same time.  I can see how that complicates things.
