aLf Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Ok. I'm ready to make the change from an old ISY 26 to a new 99Pro. The old 26 and the new 99 have 2.6 as frimware. Would someone please list the details of my change-over. I.e., where to disconnect the old ISY, when to insert the new, and how to re-install the back-up. At what point should I install the 2.7 upgrade? If you could list these in the best order, I will make the plunge. As a subnote, please tell me the best way to zero out the old 26 for use in my other home. Thanks, aLf
Sub-Routine Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Hello aLf Please see this Wiki page: Migrating_To_Your_ISY-99i. The upgrade to the ISY can be done after you restore your configuration. The easiest way to reset your ISY-26 is to telnet to the device and issue a FR (factory reset) command. Telnet_To_Your_ISY. The upgrade can be applied after the reset. Note that there are different upgrade files for the 26 and 99i. Rand
aLf Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 Rand: I got the swap done, but how do I log back into it? How does the new 99 know its IP address? aLf
Sub-Routine Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 aLf, you can use Login to My ISY. The most recent documentation can be found in the Wiki. Specifically you want to look in the Quick Start Guide#IP_Address_and_URL. Rand
