Blackbird
Is there a difference and if so why? A friend does have the aftermarket magnet switch and we wondered which wiring setup to the iolinc is better? Thanks Link to comment
Techman
You want your contacts to be open (N/C) when the magnet and switch are in close proximity to each other When the garage door opens the contacts will then close and the sensor light on the IOLinc will light. This is the opposite of standard alarm wiring which triggers when the circuit is broken, i.e. a wire is cut or a door is opened. In short, the ISY works best with a N/C wired switch. Link to comment
