boojew Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 (edited) Hey guys - I dont think this an ISY question, but I dont really know a better place to ask it. I had an ISY that was working w/ my ceiling fan for many months, but then all of a sudden, anytime I used medium or high, the motor would make a very loud humming sound and would only turn the fan slowly. Lights and low continued to work. Insteon replaced it without any issues. Now, about 3 weeks later, the RMA unit is starting to act worse than the original - light works; however the fan is stuck on and doesnt respond to any speed setting (including off) and I have the same humming and slow speed as before. Has anyone seen this before? What is the cause? Thanks! Edit: Should add that I have tried a factory reset and I have tried re-linking w/ no success. Double edit: Nevermind.. Just found this thread http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/19738-fanlinc-damaged-8-damaged-in-total/page-8?hl=fanlinc Edited July 2, 2017 by boojew

oberkc Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 I have had no trouble with my fanlincs, but this problem sounds similar to those posted by others. Yes, it sounds like a defective fanlinc.
