This is very cool if it is what I think it is. If these are for display of ISY variables, how does Agave know where to put the decimal point? Is this reading the ISY with firmware 4.x or 5.x?

That explains the decimal point.

 

So when you create an Agave variable item on the Home Screen and you have it open to the Home Screen, do changes to the variable on the ISY get updated to the Agave screen and if so, how often do they refresh? If not, how do you get the displayed variables to refresh?

The updates are automatic.  The are updates though the data subscription through the ISY.  As long as Agave is running the updates are almost instantaneous.  Agave will also refresh all of the variables on restart.  This is the same as any other object or device on the ISY.

I added the ability to set the precision from Agave.  

 

If anyone would like to test this new feature, I will be tossing it in the Beta channel for a while.  If you don't want to test or don't want to risk possible variable corruption you may want to be sure that you have either exited or not in the beta program.

This depends on a new feature of 5.x. I have not seen any plans udi to add it to the 4x firmware.

I understood that, it just looked from your screen shots that you were adding the "precision" after the integer variable arrived on the Agave app. which would be great for us 4.x users.

I see that you are pushing the precision back to the ISY with your app.  I was hoping you applied precision to the displayed integer. Just wishful thinking. (-;

Sorry, just updating a new feature in ISY 5.x   This can all be done from the ISY in the new 5.x firmware when the variable is created or updated.

It appears that this feature may have affected 4.x users in a negative way in regards to variables.  I am working on a fix.  It should be out soon.
