G W Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 Hi Gary, I'm not sure what could be going on here because setting a configuration parameter is quite straightforward in Z-Wave. Looking at the output, its clear we are sending the correct command to the device, so I'm wondering if its getting there. Are you able to set the value to zero? I am able to set the value to 0 and 1 but not 2. In SmartThings, I can set to 0, 1 and 2.
Chris Jahn Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 Eric, you saw my post https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/22536-inovelli-nzw37-2-channel-switch/ ? "................ I also received the dual switch today. When I included it in my ISY 5.0.10 3 nodes came up, ZW 133-1, ZW 133-001 and ZW 133-002 . 133-1 and 133-001 control the same plug and 133-002 the other. It works fine so far, but why do I have 2 nodes controlling the same plug ?................." For multichannel devices, some devices support the same feature in the root device as well as the channels. We are adding code to detect this, so you should no longer have this duplication for most devices.
Chris Jahn Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 I am able to set the value to 0 and 1 but not 2. In SmartThings, I can set to 0, 1 and 2. Can you set the value to 0 and query it, then set it to 1 and query it, then set it to 2 and query it and then post all the output ... I want to see if there are any anomalies when setting it to 2 Output should contain lines something like this: // Set config to 0 Sun 11/05/2017 18:52:22 : [ZWAVE-TX ZW011_1] [70/04] CC=0x70 cmd=0x04 [010100] ACK,AUTO,EXPLORE To=0x0B Sun 11/05/2017 18:52:33 : [ZWAVE-TX ZW011_1] [70/05] CC=0x70 cmd=0x05 [01] ACK,AUTO,EXPLORE To=0x0B Sun 11/05/2017 18:52:33 : [ZWAVE-RX ZW011_1] [70/06] CC=0x70 cmd=0x06 [010100] ACK,AUTO,EXPLORE From=0x0B // Set config to 1 Sun 11/05/2017 18:52:22 : [ZWAVE-TX ZW011_1] [70/04] CC=0x70 cmd=0x04 [010101] ACK,AUTO,EXPLORE To=0x0B Sun 11/05/2017 18:52:33 : [ZWAVE-TX ZW011_1] [70/05] CC=0x70 cmd=0x05 [01] ACK,AUTO,EXPLORE To=0x0B Sun 11/05/2017 18:52:33 : [ZWAVE-RX ZW011_1] [70/06] CC=0x70 cmd=0x06 [010101] ACK,AUTO,EXPLORE From=0x0B // Set config to 2 Sun 11/05/2017 18:52:22 : [ZWAVE-TX ZW011_1] [70/04] CC=0x70 cmd=0x04 [010102] ACK,AUTO,EXPLORE To=0x0B Sun 11/05/2017 18:52:33 : [ZWAVE-TX ZW011_1] [70/05] CC=0x70 cmd=0x05 [01] ACK,AUTO,EXPLORE To=0x0B Sun 11/05/2017 18:52:33 : [ZWAVE-RX ZW011_1] [70/06] CC=0x70 cmd=0x06 [0101??] ACK,AUTO,EXPLORE From=0x0B

Chris Jahn Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 Thanks Gary, This is all looks normal, except that the value doesn't actually get changed to 2. We'll have to get one of those devices and test it here to see whats going on.
G W Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 I even tried using REST commands and could not get it to accept 2. I'll wait till you get the modules in hand. Best regards, Gary Funk
Chris Jahn Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Hi Everyone, There was some confusion with the parameters for the Inovelli Dimmer. Here are the actual parameter options (Thanks to Eric from Inovelli for the update) Parameter 1 (1 byte) - If parameter 2 is set to 0 0 - Turn indicator light ON when switch is OFF 1 - Turn indicator light ON when switch is ON Parameter 2 (1 byte) 0 - Enable indicator light 1 - Disable indicator light
G W Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Thank you, Eric and Chris and Eric M. I'd say it is a documentation issue that caused that confusion. I see from post #5 that Eric also updated the solution. Do you have any insight to the 2-Channel On-Off Power Switch Module? Or should ISY users just ignore the main node? Best regards, Gary Funk

Best regards, Gary Funk Hi Gary, The 2-Channel does not appear to support the Configuration command class so I doubt there is a way to modify the LED behavior. EDIT: Oops, now I see what you asking ... You can ignore the main node, but you can also use it as a Z-Wave scene responder for controllers that do not support multichannel association.

We're terribly sorry they weren't listed in the instructions (we fixed it for the next version) but below is the parameter information for future reference: Parameter 1 - size 1 byte 00 is Light Off / LED On 01 is Light On / LED On 02 is Disable LED Hope this helps and thanks so much for your support! Eric Founder | Inovelli Eric, It took me while but I just succeeded to invert the led so that led is ON when switch is OFF. This is what I did : Parameters 1,2 and 3 all set to 0 (zero)
