Mil Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 I'm just not happy with Mobilinc. I can't get them to respond how to setup IP cameras and just overall I would like to see what else is out there. What are some other options? Any advice on ekeypad or commandfusion? Thanks! R Quote
stusviews Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 I've not seen as much praise for any other off-site app on this forum as I have for MobiLinc. Have you tried the . Wes is very responsive. OTOH, nothing beats the ability to control IP cameras link as capably as a dedicated IP camera app does. I realize that one app is more convenient, but in this case one size does not fit all Quote

R I am actually in the middle of an exchange with Wes (Mobilinc) regarding the IP Cameras. I am very satisfied with Mobilinc to operate my ISY Zwave setup, but I do not succeed to access my Foscam cameras when I am connected to Tmobile. Wes told me that this is an issue because TMobile changed some internet settings. However I have no problems to access my cameras, while on TMobile, when using the App IPCamViewerPro. Wes has asked me to send him more screenshots of my settings on both IPCamViewerPro and Mobilinc. Hopefully Wes can resolve this. 1 Quote
Mil Posted November 11, 2017 Author Posted November 11, 2017 The setup I have is at a remote cabin, so the only internet is a Hughes Net satellite internet. I can see them on the local connection but any cellular or external wifi they won't connect. This is with the Insteon cameras and D-Link. So right now, I have four apps and actually went back to the Insteon IOS app since Mobilinc wasn't doing much for the annual cost of having the IP camera plugin (which I've been charged for the past four years and I can't get it not to autorenew). I did try troubleshooting it on the Mobilinc forum last year without success. Asbril, I will be interest in seeing how yours was resolved. Quote
G W Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 There is Agave. It's a great mobile application. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk Quote
TheFallenAngel Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 Agave is a great app and under constant and active development. Sent from my SM-G935W8 using Tapatalk 3 Quote
smokegrub Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 I have found Wes to be amazing in his responsiveness to problems. I am very happy with MobiLinc and have been for years. 2 Quote
InsteonNut Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 Mil, I'm just not happy with Mobilinc. I can't get them to respond how to setup IP cameras and just overall I would like to see what else is out there. I respond to all emails at: support@mobilinc.com. Please reach out to me with the following information so I can see your exact settings and offer suggestions for how to remotely access your cameras: MobiLinc: - Screenshot of your camera’s settings page. You can take a screenshot on iOS devices by pressing the top power button and the bottom home button at the same time. IP Camera Tool: - Screenshot of your IP Camera discovery tool running on your PC or MAC showing your discovered IP Camera. OR - A screenshot of your IP Camera in a web browser showing the camera’s address when you are connected from a PC/MAC. The results of going to: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=what+is+my+ip Or your external DNS address. Finally, please provide a screenshot of your router’s port forward page showing the routing to your camera. Mobilinc wasn't doing much for the annual cost of having the IP camera plugin (which I've been charged for the past four years and I can't get it not to autorenew). There is no yearly charge for IP Camera support. IP Cameras is a one-time purchase. Are you referring to MobiLinc Connect for your ISY? If you have a subscription with us through PayPal, you can manage that subscription through your PayPal account. Wes 1 Quote

While I believe his explanation that it is related to new TMobile settings, IPCamViewerPro resolved that issue. I continue to be happy with Mobilinc for the ISY devices control, but buying the camera add-on was a mistake. There is an alternative (not for cameras) in the "Amazon Alexa" App, which works for those that have connected their Alexa devices with ISY. It is a cool APP but not yet as good as Mobilinc. Quote
Mil Posted November 22, 2017 Author Posted November 22, 2017 Wes, Thank you for the response. I will email you direct. Quote
brians Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 I tried Agave but I think MobiLinc is nicer. Only complaint I have is the MobiLinc HD on an iPad ... I do not like the landscape with the actual pictures of the switches and layout. Wish there was an option to make portrait with list view similar to iPhone but taking advantage of iPad's screen real-estate. Quote
