Techman Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 High-speed internet over power lines? Marking its latest push to offer faster broadband service, AT&T has started trials in Georgia and a non-U.S. location to deliver high-speed internet - faster than the 1 gigabit per second - over power lines. "Potentially, it can be a really big deal," said Roger Entner, an analyst at Recon Analytics. "You need the power company to play ball with you. That's the downside."
paulbates Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 If its based on things like E-Line, it would run between 2ghz and 20ghz, which is comfortably above insteon's 136khz. There's only so much data you can push at 136khz. Who knows though, have to wait and see. Paul
