Dome Pro Window Sensor - temp?

Featured Replies

Has anyone played with the Dome Pro window sensor?

I got tired of changing batteries in my ~40 window and door sensors every 6-9 months, this unit suggests a 10 year lifespan, or 8 if the temp sensor is used.

I got one to play with. Isy994i creates node _1 as "notify sensor" and shows the battery level, while node_29 is "window alarm" and simply on/off.

I tried the rest protocol of unit/rest/nodes/ZW029_1 (and _29) but don't see any additional status info.

Has anyone gotten temperature to work on this, or have any other comments or suggestions?

Thanks!

Sorry, no help coming from me, but wondering if you got this resolved and how you like the Dome overall.

I'm always looking for some good sensors.  Did you turn on the temp sensor? I see in the docs the temp sensor is off by default. If it is off, it may not report or include correctly in the ISY?

04 The Door/Window Sensor can also monitor and report ambient temperature conditions. However, temperature sensing functionality is disabled by default to save battery life, and this configuration parameter is used to enable or disable this feature. 01 Enable/Disable Temperature Sensor 00 (Temperature Sensor Disabled)
01 (Temperature Sensor Enabled) 00
(Temperature Sensor Disabled)

I too am curious if you get it to work.

Good suggestion! I looked at that doc before and missed that section somehow. :) Unfortunately, the ISY interface and the REST interface both fail to read or write parameter 4. When I have more time, I'll dig into it to see if it's only active if one presses a button ...
