Socket Open Failed java.net.SocketTimeoutException

Hi,

This is my first time using a forum of any kind so if I did something wrong please let me know...

My Issue:

  • My ISY is in a constant refresh for the past 15 hours

How did it happen:

  • Bought it a few weeks ago ISY 994ZW model
  • Been linking up all of my devices (Thermostats, Garage door, motion sensor, fire alarm, cameras, and lights)
  • This week started to get the "error discovering nodes and linking failure" - Started happening around the time I was adding the motion sensors or the fire alarm - but all of my devices seemed to work and were on the ISY
  • I really thought it would take care of itself (never closed a pop up before it was done)
  • This weekend started adding my 20 new Insteon dimmer switches and it would not allow me to link to the ISY because of the previous error
  • So I read a few forums and saw someone say restart the ISY device
  • So I did not find a button so I unplugged the devices and it has been in a constant state of refresh at least 15 hours by now (see the attached)
  • This morning the "Socket Open Failed java.net.SocketTimeoutException" error popped up and the refresh is still going strong
  • I have read a few forums and they seem slightly different then my situation

Other important items:

  • The PLM light it constant green
  • My ISY programs are no longer working
  • My MobileLink Pro app (paid version) is no longer working
  • I have roughly 30 Insteon devices currently and they work manually still

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Happy Holidays!
Matt

Hi Matt, welcome to the UDI Forums!

I found an older post on this. I suggest you try what's suggested, but since its a new setup, it might be best to submit a ticket as called out in the post. UDI is very responsive...  I had a support call when I first set mine up.

Merry Christmas to you!

Paul
