Z-Wave dimmer attached LED lights flashing with Insteon traffic

I recently moved and brought my iSY and all my plug in and motion sensor Insteon modules with me. I purchased new Insteon dimmer keypads and switches to replace what I had left behind. The new house has built in LEDs in the kitchen and the Insteon dimmers don't play nice with them, everything from flickering to not dimming at all.

After some research I concluded the Insteon dimmers really only support incandescent loads and although you can find some bulbs that work but that doesn't help with my built in LEDs. They do work fine with the OEM analog dimmers that were already  there.

So I started shopping Z-Wave dimmers as they seem to all support LED lights. I've tried a couple and they do dim nicely and connect with my iSY but they flash with Insteon traffic. It's really obvious and I don't know what to do know other than decommission all my Insteon devices which were a substantial investment.

The iSY/Z-Wave combo also seems to missing most of the features I expect from my dimmers such as ramp rate and start level.Hopefully v5 will be out soon and support these features.

I don't know if there is a solution but any help is greatly appreciated!

It's not the ISY/W-Wave combo that's a problem, it's the Z-Wave devices and, in some cases, v5. Insteon device still have ramp rate and On-Level as available options in versions 4+.

I can live without the features if it means the LED lamp loads will stop flashing! Is there a filter I can put on the Z-Wave dimmers to stop them from seeing the Insteon traffic?

Can you replace the LED light transformer with an ELV / MLV model? I found two ELV models on Amazon last year (60W and 180W IIRC) that work fine with LampLinc’s

I don't really want to have to replace the built ins. I ordered and received an X10 Pro 20A filter today and it works perfectly to block the flicker from Insteon traffic to the kitchen under counter lights even though it's blurb is to block noisy devices from the rest of the house! The Z-wave control from the iSY is still fine as is the Insteon for my other devices AFAIK at this point.

I'm really stoked even though it's a large filter that would never fit in a junction box. Now that I know it works I'm going to install it in the breaker panel on the kitchen circuit and everything in the kitchen will be wireless Z-Wave, not Insteon!

I spoke too soon, they still flicker just not as much and not sure yet when or why, :-(

Is it only me or do LEDs seem like a step backward for those of us who already had control of our lighting energy costs?

So far incandescents rock, CFLs pollute, and LEDs suck.

Every light in my house is LED and I have no flickering. Later this year I'm going to start replacing all 120vac lighting with 12vdc lighting. Hopefully there will be some decent 12vdc switches.

After watching them for longer they seem fine with the filter on them. They do give an occasional soft flash, not sure most people would notice. It's certainly not objectionable like before the filter, I think I can live with this. I suspect it's more the fixtures themselves and I think they may have even done it before on the compatibly listed analog dimmer. They are Commercial Electric under cabinet LED fixtures.

I can see Insteon traffic in some of my other unfiltered LEDs that are on an Insteon dimmer and dimmed. It's subtle but visible, particularly in my Cree bulbs.
