MIMOlite Status Reporting

How does the MIMOlite report state changes? Is there some type of instant status capability? Or must it be polled? Or something else entirely?

My plan is to use it for garage door control (paralleled with my existing hard-wired button) and door position feedback (with something like the Seco magnetic contact switch). Is that a good way to go? Any suggestions, words of wisdom (or caution)?

Thanks in advance.

I have two automatic curtains with Mimolites.  They have given me, consistently, instant status reporting.

I don't know about v5+, but in v4+ you need to create a program using the state of the sensor and/or switch as a trigger.
