New Device - Caller ID

Featured Replies

Added a new device to NodeLink, Caller ID.  I'm using it with a $10 USB modem connected to my Pi.

- Sends "ringing" alert to ISY and the number calling

- Yac server compatible, meaning it will send Yac info to accepting clients

- Kodi support, sends Caller ID notifications to Kodi

Cool! Neat solution.

I switched years ago to a full VoIP solution with Asterisk, and I use dialplan actions to trigger ISY events when the phone rings, pop up callerid on my TVs etc... Still, a great solution for those that still have POTS lines.

Running FreePBX at home and could not be happier. I've put an IVR up front when someone calls my home number and it plays "Please press 1 if you want to talk to someone, otherwise leave a message", not a single robocall/telemarketer went thru that.

There is a version for Raspberry Pi (RasPBX) and coupled with a free Google Voice number via Motif - it's a perfect home phone solution.

Sounds cool. I used Google Voice but don’t use the typical home phones. I been using Mr Number on iOS and its blocking SPAM/Robocalls well too.
