iOS

Honestly I'd rather see your efforts go into adding features to the Android version rather than an iOS port. My household is evenly split between Android and iOS but the iOS side is already well-served by eKeypad (and Mobilinc is available as well)

Obviously others are free to disagree (and already have)

From what I hear and see, it would be awesome to have this as an iOS option.  I'm not particularly thrilled with Mobilinc or eKeypad (each have strengths and weaknesses), so I would look forward to another option.

I bring this up because I have had countless requests to build an iOS version.  While it is inevitable that I will eventually do it, I want to gauge the interest and market of such an option.  I would probably never be able to catch up to ML as I would "actually" be maintaining a cross platform option.

Would feature parity with android Agave be sufficient (+/- OS features) for an iOS version?

Would there be any volunteers for beta testing iOS? ( I would expect any beta testers to have active android accounts for full ability to compare as they are testing)

Go for more thoughts....

I have never used Agave because I use IOS.  I have Mobilinc Pro. However I would like to know what Agave (IOS) would offer differently from Mobilinc ?

Finally took the plunge out of MobiLink this morning and went full Agave. I'm primarily an Android user but have an older iPad and my wife uses an iPhone and could do some testing and compare the versions.

For the sake of being able to work in the same platform (such as in the case of my wife and I ) I could see wanting to have a simpler control app for iPhones, but my thought is that more of the advanced features some of the other apps have are more "HUD" functions that are intended for tablets. Even if you're not primarily an Android user for your phone, I would think its compelling for iOS users that there are so many choices for extremely low-cost Android Tablets and phones that could be used as dedicated central touchscreen controllers or keypad replacements. I've been running polyglot nodeservers on V5 for a while now and it would be great to start to see some integration there.

Just my two cents as a newly full-agave convert. Looking forward to you continuing the great work regardless!

I get it RJ K and have been thinking for a while about getting a dedicated Android tablet with Agave. I am also looking at the coming Atmos. But for all alternatives I need to think how to put these on the wall without a (power) cable showing.

More than anything I want it to be something that my totally non-tech family would use to control lights, curtains and Nest thermostats.
