I have  been using my Insteon Diagnostic Keypad to help ID my flakey insteon network. I have found a bunch of bad switches (built in 2010) and so far that has helped a lot.

My question for folks who have used the keypad- is it normal to have an error on 80% of insteon transmissions? That is what is happening to me on pretty much every device in my home.

Any real world experience is appreciated.

The keypad was discontinued several years ago, not sure how reliable it is.

Your best bet is to use the ISY's built-in diagnostics which are quite comprehensive.
