ronvond Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 I am hoping to replace an Insteon outdoor switch, 2634-222, with a GE Z-Wave Plus outdoor switch. I'm wondering if I can control the new switch, controlling my Christmas lights, with a program running in my Insteon version 4.7.3. Or is it necessary to upgrade to version 5.0.x? Thanks, Ron
kissfan Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 I have two on my deck and they work fine under 4.7. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

kissfan Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 I only have the ISY (zw). It controls them directly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

danbutter Posted November 11, 2018 Posted November 11, 2018 Make sure you get from a reliable seller and get the zwave PLUS version. They look the same, but the range is much much better with the plus version. I have both kinds

ronvond Posted November 11, 2018 Author Posted November 11, 2018 Yes I hope not. In an earlier post I saw it could be controlled directly from the ISY. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The poster may be referring to the zwave card in the ISY. I run a 100% zwave home and the only controller I have is the ISY with zwave card. No separate hub.
