Replaced 2486D with 2334-2

How do you have buttons A-D configured?  Do you have them setup in scenes?  If so, are they setup as controllers or responders?  Do you have programs setup to execute based on button presses?  If so, are you reacting to button status or control (i.e. switched on or switched off).  In general, the more information you can provide, the better.

Just Replaced 2486D with 2334-2.  Main switch works, but A, B, C, and D buttons do not.  When I press a button the links(commands} do not execute.  Any thoughts?

Did you replace a 8 button KPL with a 6 button KPL?

If so, the ISY probably won't recognize it as a device must be replaced like for like.  You might have to delete it from the ISY, do a factory reset on it, then install it as a  2334.

It appears that you have a communication problem between the KPL and the PLM

Try to run a diagnostic / compare link tables on the KPL.  If the compare shows mismatch links then do a restore device on the KPL

If the above doesn't resolve the issue then do a factory reset on the KPL and then a restore device.

Having the write icon next to the buttons implies that the ISY needs to save information to the 2334-2.  It could be that information is the links that would include each button in the scenes that you have configured.  That would explain why nothing happens when you press each button.  As Techman indicated, it seems like there could be a communication problem between the 2334-2 and the PLM.  Have you tried opening the Event Viewer and the executing the write commands?  That would allow you to see whether the 2334-2 is responding to the ISY when it tries to execute a write.

Thanks to you both!  Cleared event viewer and wrote to switch.  No entries, I assume that means no communication.  Then ran restore, which I have done several times before, however this time it worked and we are finally back to normal.  Again thanks for your great help.
