Mini-split IR control? (e.g. ZXT-600 or Sensibo)

Anybody using the new Remotec Z-Wave infrared transmitter,  ZXT-600 with ISY-994?  Seems to be an upgraded (Z-Wave+) version of the old ZXT-120.

Looking for a compatible device to extend ISY control to air-conditioner (AC) IR.    The handheld remotes send a very long IR string on each command, so we haven't been able to get this working with Linux IR learning nor any of the learning remotes we've tried (the string includes the thermostat reading from the sensor inside the remote itself, and the desired state of the mini-split cassette including fan speed, flap setting, etc).

The other approach I'm considering is using the (more expensive, cloud-tethered) Sensibo, then calling their web API from ISY-994 network module.    Trying to avoid that as it executes all commands via AWS,  so adds a lot of dependencies and would stop working if the cloud service was down or unreachable.

I use the Sensibo approach. I agree it isn’t the greatest that it’s cloud based, but in the last 12 months I’ve only noticed a couple of outages.

Still, I would like to move to a local option if possible.

I tried the sensibo node server without much luck, so as you mentioned I am just using NRs.

I tried years ago to control my mini splits with a global cache, but I wasn’t ever able to get the complex IR codes to work.
