source for SwitchLinc LED color change kit 2400L

While ordering several more SwitchLinc dimmers and on-off switches during a recent SmartHome sale, I was annoyed to discover that SmartHome doesn't seem to be offering the LED color change kits anymore.  I've found that changing the lightpipes on these switches to green or blue significantly softens some of the harsh brightness of the stock clear lightpipes/white LEDs.  Does anybody know of a source for these kits now?  (I checked Amazon and eBay and didn't find any)   Or might someone have kits that they would be willing to sell or trade (I need green and blue; I have lots of the yellow and red lightpipes).  I would like to maintain the same colors throughout the house.

I have not seen any sources lately. You may find some users that have the unused color light pipes.

I think the  original kits had four of the same color light pipes. It  was replaced with the kit with two of  each color and we had left over unwanted colored pipes. I found the Frosted ones where good in some of my locations.

You maybe surprised if you have any of the 2477S On/Off switches ordered. The face of them now only has the On and Off LED positions. All the unused ones between Off and On are now gone on the latest versions. The eight position light pipe looks like it may not even fit the present one with only On and Off LED pipes.

Hi John,

Did you ever find a solution - I am also looking for the SmartHome 2400L color change kits.

(I have some blue, red and yellow, looking for green)

Was starting to think about the 3D printing option... but need someone with a 3D scanner to create the 'drawing' to feed to the printer! :-)

Antony,

Sorry, no I haven't found any good solution yet.  The color scheme I had used in switches across the house was a single green in the switch off position, then a blue "8 pipe" strip in the switch on ramp positions.  Somehow I ended up with more of the "8-pipe" green strips than blue strips so I cut out individual pipes from the green 8 strips to make extra green single pipes (note only two "single pipe"s from one 8 strip because of the retention knobs on the 8 strip).  When I ran out of blue strips, I switched the color scheme in the garage and shop to red in the off position and yellow 8 strips in the switch on positions.  Your idea of 3D printing these would be great; unfortunately I have neither a 3D scanner or printer.  If you find someone to help scan and/or print some I would support/purchase.

Hello,

I also have this same issue - I have used green and yellow for my home and have lots of left over red and blue ones. I would be willing to trade folks one for one for green and yellow 2400L light change pipes (especially green ones).

Thanks,

Kevin

Anyone purchasing the latest revision 2477S Dual Band On/Off switch. Will find a new face plate on it. Just the On and Off light pipe positions are on the face plate  and all the unused pipe positions are no longer there.

I have not seen any confirmation the face plate from an older one with all the pipe positions can be retrofitted to the presently sold ones.

If anyone is using the 2400LF Frosted Light Pipe Kits. They are still available. New sales site says  692 kits in stock. They look like the ones in the dimmers and older On/Off models.

How silly, now they have to stock an additional SKU for paddle color change kits, and brown and black don't appear to be available in the new items color change.

Hi John,

I may have found a vendor whose website says they have stock of the 2400L, but they are a bit sketchy... investigating now.  Will keep you posted.   But I'm not very confident.

Anthony,

Please do.  I would certainly like to buy some number more of the kits so that I can keep my color scheme consistent throughout the switches my house.  I find the colored light pipes, especially the blue and green, much “softer” and less intrusive than the white or frosted. Decreasing the LED brightness also helps
