What type of integration are you looking at with the isy? While I'm happy with mine outside of the isy (can't see myself integrating) it may be of benefit to others.

That's the question I leave to the ISY community.  The question of integration was brought to me about another platform so we are investigating and I thought I would ask if there was interest from ISY users.

General poll looking for interest/feedback about a DoorBird integration

I just ordered my doorbird, I would be interested in ISY integration.

I have not had the $$$ to purchase a DoorBird to start looking into developing a nodeserver for this.  I don't have a "front door" so it has little use for me and  I'm not sure how much value a nodeserver can bring other than a motion sensor node.

Nope.  Back of the house garage entry only.  House sits "backwards" on the lot where the "front" faces the woods on 5.5 acres.

This isn’t very common but a few new developments in our area did this too. I believe the intent at the time was to remove the cookie cutter look of the front facing garage.

The downside was that it reintroduced back lanes to that community!

Anyone who has ever lived and endured having property with a back lane knows the snow removal and extra maintenance that comes with it never mind safety issues for children.

Sounds like you have the perfect setup and view for such a lay out.

I'm not in a "community".... a mile off a public road.  There's a few of us back here....  Snow removal?  We all have tractors :)

Yeah tractors... NOT riding mowers :)

Visitors?  Sometimes.... not often.... most leave.... ;)

would it help if i would send the unit to you?

At this point probably not.

I don't have much time to start new development and there's no incentive meaning it's not something I'm going to have a personal use for nor is there currently any "store" to monetize the nodeserver nor any way to recoup any support costs.  I have to put my time towards other systems that provide a revenue stream.

However Home Assistant does have a door bird component and with their UI you could also integrate the camera feed so you may want to look in that direction.

I have a doorbird and have it do an http post (I think) to the ISY and have it execute a program.  What more integration are you thinking of?

Would you mind telling me how did you accomplish this?

In the Doorbird app, under settings, administration, there is a menu item called "HTTP(S) Calls".  It let me add an URL.

My URL format is

http://user:passwd@IPofISY/rest/programs/0033/runThen

Change user, passwd, IpofISY and the 0033, etc, to match your ISY and what you are doing.  No cloud necessary -- woohoo!
