June 8, 20196 yr I'm happy to report that I've moved from to NodeLink! io_guy, it is excellent -- can't believe I waited this long. By the end of the day I'll have 3 Venstar, a DSC, and a General Date nodes. I see the heartbeat devices for each node. Do I check each heartbeat device or pick one and check it? Either way anyone willing to post examples of checking via the device with any timing issues etc accounted for? Edited June 8, 20196 yr by hart2hart
June 8, 20196 yr You should do it for each device as it checks that the single device is alive, not just NodeLink.
June 8, 20196 yr Author Thanks io_guy. Sorry I bothered all with this question but I was looking for a post via Tapatalk on iPad and it located the thread with Paulbates response but said "Sorry, content not available" and had a date of 12/31/69 so I though maybe it got lost in a forum migration. With PC it showed up as expected. One more question do I recall that ISYLink and potentially the equivalent in NodeLink does heartbeat check a different way?
June 8, 20196 yr It doesn't have a heartbeat variable. You could just trigger off a minute update. But if you're using another device with a HB don't bother. You only need a single HB to tell you NodeLink is running.
