Correct. They are both Insteon controllers and manage automation. You’ll want only one of the two.

Hub: easy to use and set up. Limited automation control abilities, can not control integrate with other powerline control like z-wave or zigbee.

ISY. Very flexible and powerful. Integrates with many technologies. Harder to set up than the hub.

Hub pro works natively with apple homekit.  Seems like most people prefer the phone app for the hub.

Hub seems to be favored by those who value remote control of the house via phone.  ISY seems favored by those who value automation.
