Featured Replies

Hi @BigEfromDaBx

Can you answer the following?

Which MobiLinc app?

What connection method are you using?
- MobiLinc Connect
- Direct IP
- ISY Portal

What is the radius of the fence?

My geofence is 100 meters

No portal. Just MobiLinc Connecticut

Thanks @BigEfromDaBx

A couple of things to be aware of:

- 100m is probably too close to the house to fire. There's several reasons for this, but the general guidelines for geo-fencing puts the sweet spot closer to about 300 m from the center.
- When adjusting the radius out to about 300m make sure where you drive and cross the boundary the boundary is in the middle of a neighborhood or an area with dense Wi-Fi.
- When driving to/from the location, the phone will do much better if it's plugged into power and at least somewhat out in the car cabin. If it's in a pocket or trunk there's not much change for iOS to detect the crossing.
- You can turn on notifications for the geo-fence in MobiLinc so you know if MobiLinc is even getting called by iOS when your boundary is crossed.

If all else fails delete the geo-fence and associated variable(s) from your ISY and recreate the fence. Make sure to restart the Admin Console to see the new/delete variables when adding/deleting from MobiLinc.
