RGBW LED Rope Light Controller

Hi. I have a lot of LED RGBW rope light installed. I’m currently using its on controller but I’d like to control this using ISY.  I’d like to be able to change the color and use programs such as color fade where it fades from color to color. Is there anyway to do this through ISY?

Brand or model numbers? Rope light is pretty generic.

If it does not have an app to control it, it likely won't be controllable from anything else, other than it's own remote.

If it's remote uses IR to set the controller, you can use the Insteon IR transmitter 2411T.  I have successfully done that, however, I've found that unit to be unreliable.

You have to use the IR transmitter learn function to 'learn' every button on the controller, which is a scene in the ISY (see below).  It's a pretty laborious process, but it does work.  Then just place one of the emitters near the LED controller receiver and turn the appropriate scenes off and on.  I also had it set up on my Echo.  It works well, but the weak link seems to be the 2411T.  Sometimes it just seems to not respond to the ISY signal.
