Posted August 8, 20196 yr Hi, I have an on/off outlet that has been factory reset and successfully added. However, I can only control the top outlet. When I toggle on/off either the top or bottom outlet from the console the top always responds. I added the outlet by link management--New Insteon Device. I filled in the address and name and let it auto select device. I know it's something simple that I'm missing. Thanks in advance, Carey
August 8, 20196 yr Author Also, I did find the other topic about this same issue. I had already tried all of the suggestions given to that user. It didn't seem as if that person resolved their issue either. At least it wasn't stated in that thread.
August 8, 20196 yr I've been using one for a number of years and its been fine. Can you: Go to Tools/Diagnotics/Event viewer Set it to level 3 device communications (bottom of dialogue box) Exercise the first outlet device in the admin console, then the second Press the copy to clipboard button at the bottom of the dialogue box Paste in a post window here Try to indicate which row that you turned the second on and off Paul Edited August 8, 20196 yr by paulbates
August 9, 20196 yr Author I have been using one of these outlets also for years without a problem. Just like the other user from the other thread, my older outlet is now doing the exact same thing. (I didn't know this until just now when I checked.) it's an outlet I seldom use anymore.

August 9, 20196 yr Author Hi, I looked deeper into previous topics about a similar situation and found the answer. You can't use "fast on" or "fast off" to control each outlet separately. thanks for your help
August 9, 20196 yr Fast on and Fast off is usually applicable to modules that dim. Glad you got it resolved
