Is there an alternative to the 2413S PLM?

I was wondering is there is a reliable alternative to the Insteon 2413S?

I have recently gotten into the Universal Devices setup i would like to continue on with it, but this PLM seems to be a real sore spot.

I have repaired mine once (using the recommended caps from the repair post) and now, a few months later it is acting up again.

Is there a different PLM that will work with the ISY 994i?

I was considering buying a new Insteon one, but I thought a better one may be out there.

On a different note, has anyone thought of bypassing the flaky power supply in these things and powering it from an outside source, like a wall wart? I would gladly give up esthetics for a reliable PLM. I don't get into the reverse engineering stuff anymore, but that seems like it would solve this issue.

The current version of the 2415S has an updated RS232 interface and updated power supply and firmware. It's probably best to buy an new one rather than repairing a older unit
