Jake Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 need advice for GH compatible product for notification if 120V outlet has power ON or OFF (essentially there is an outage on the outlet). Preferred would be wifi support (no hub required) plus IFTTT support that I can create the next actions based on the status change. Use case: I have a dumb wall light switch that manages one outlet in my living room. Originally this outlet powers one lamp with a dumb bulb. I want to put another lamp on the opposite corner of my living room (with a smart bulb or smart plug) without a leading extension cord to it. What I want to achieve is that this device which I am looking for monitors power ON/OFF in the desired outlet. New lights will be then switched ON and OFF (using IFTTT applet) based on the status of the outlet. Remarks: I don't want to change my dumb wall light switch. There are always ON outlets available everywhere.
