edentel Posted December 31, 2020 Posted December 31, 2020 I’m looking at making the jump back over from Homeseer and ensuring I can replicate all of my various programs. One that has been handy is having the ability to add and remove lock codes via a single program. I’ve poked around the interface and searched here and I’m not finding any way to do this via a program in ISY. Am I missing something obvious or is this not supported? Thanks!
Mecheng70 Posted December 31, 2020 Posted December 31, 2020 I use rest commands to program the door locks. It is as simple as clicking on a URL and it programs the ISY. Lately I have been using homeassistant to interface with the ISY to change user codes. There are several ways of doing this.
edentel Posted December 31, 2020 Author Posted December 31, 2020 Hmmm hadn’t thought of that. I’m experimenting with the end goal of hopping from Homeseer to Home Assistant and ISY so that could fit in. I had just assumed if ISY didn’t expose user code controls to its own programs that it would not be exposed to Home Assistant. thanks!
MTB Posted January 1, 2021 Posted January 1, 2021 I wrote a description of how I do it for Schlage locks, though note MWareman's comment further down the string about using "localhost". I never had a problem and thus never modified my network calls, but his comment bears noting (and it's easy to implement). As written, it uses more than one program, but that was to gain the capability I was looking for - your needs may allow for a different implementation.
