Hi all! i hope you can help me with this question. I am looking to buy the polisy but would like to know if it works with insteon with the same plm i currently use with my 994. I am switching my insteon devices for a zwave brand called Orvibo, it looks it is the perfect replacement now that insteon has thrown the towel. I will do it in a slow pace since my place has 50+ insteon devices and dont want to mess it up.

No, the Polisy at this time doesn't support Insteon or Zwave. You have to use it in conjunction with your ISY for now.

What do you mean by "insteon throwing in the towel"?   There have been shortages just like a lot of electronic items, but I am not aware of any closures or announcements. Care to share a link?

Hey Leon,

re insteon: sorry, it is just my appreciation. I've been struggling all year with supply.. i've installed motoriized curtains and insteon support told me that the open/close micromodules are discontinued, also every other micromodules and rail din modules. :(

Makes me glad I bought some of the micro modules for a future project!  Sorry to hear about that, my guess is they just weren't that popular? You may have to try ebay.

I know, it might not be as popular as other open / close controllers, but i'd love to control my curtains from my keypads instead of having a separate manual switch.. any ways.. i hope insteon recovers at some point or sells the tech to someone with enough cash to keep on their R&D departments.

They aren't completely discontinued. There's currently an extreme shortage of chips. Instead of trying to put out their full product line, they're trying to focus on the major selling items to keep those in stock.

There are plenty of posts on this forum as well as on the news detailing the current global supply of chips and how it's causing problems for everything
