Techman Posted June 13, 2021 Posted June 13, 2021 We lost internet connectivity for most of the day yesterday and I noticed that I was unable to access the Admin Console over my LAN during the outage. Was it trying to validate credentials over the internet? I thought the ISY / Admin Console were self sufficient.
gzahar Posted June 13, 2021 Posted June 13, 2021 I think if you are using the ISY Launcher it dynamically downloads the correct UI over the internet after checking your firmware version. (but you would think it would use a cached version first before trying to download). Alternately, you can download the admin console directly from the ISY if the internet is down using <your ISY IP>/admin.jnlp. 1
MrBill Posted June 13, 2021 Posted June 13, 2021 agree with, you must be using the launcher... it does require internet. as @gzahar points out admin.jnlp is available anytime from the ISY itself, but people struggle more with it than the launcher, so most of the time the launcher is the better choice.
