I started using z-Wave a couple versions back. Connected a few Jasco ZW4101 and all was fine. I went thru a couple new versions all was fine. Then I deleted the Jasco devices that I was not using ,and now I unable to add them back in.  I currently  don't have any Z-Wave devices connected. Can I just delete the Z-Wave and install again?

If you've removed your wave devices then there is nothing more you can delete. I'm assuming that you removed then via the Zwave menu and not just deleted them from your device tree.

If you're planning on using Zwave then you should really update your Zwave dongle to the new 500 series dongle which can be purchased from UDI.

UDI no longer supports the 300 series board which means that you won't be able to update your ISY firmware to the current version 5.3.4 which is now Zwave certified.

Thanks. I see what I did wrong. I deleted them from the tree. What needs to be done now?

Put your zwave devices, one at a time, into the linking mode then on the admin console zwave menu click on Remove a Zwave device. After it's removed you can then add it back.

Another possible option, being that the devices are technically still installed is to use Repair Links in your Zwave menu which should add it back to your device tree.

Attached is the Zwave user guide which should answer all your questions.

I did the backup and restore procedure, that did not solve my problem.

I did more searches on my Jasco  ZW4104 switch I was trying to add and I found a post for a different Hub  that I was able to make some sense of it. Here is what I did for the ISY.

To Remove

1. Remove/Exclude a Z-Wave Device

2. Press and hold the button in the center of Lamp Module's front.

3. Plug the Lamp Module back into a outlet while holding down the button.

4. Release the button after the Lamp Module is plugged in.

5. Press release the button again

6. Press release the button a second time.

To Add

1. Add/Include a Z-Wave Device

Repeat steps 2 thru 6

Thanks for all your help. I had a better understanding on how to add a Jasco  ZW4104.
