tome Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 I installed a new Switchlinc and wanted to factory reset it. So, I went to the Wiki which says: http://wiki.smarthome.com/index.php?title=Resetting_SwitchLinc_to_Its_Factory_Default_Settings I don't know if this is out of date, or if I am doing something wrong but this is not the behavior I get. I pull out the tab and wait 10s (or more). I push the tab all the way in and hold for three seconds (it beeps within a second or so) The light does NOT come on after a few second. Yes, I am sure I am holding the little tab all the way in. And yes I am sure I am pulling the tab all the way out. My Switchlinc has 2476S V5.2 0926 written on it, and it shows as Switchlinc Relay W/ Sense v.37 at the top of the ISY screen. I have tried the above procedure more then a dozen times without any change. I have also tried holding the button in longer, and holding in a shorter amount of time. The switch goes to the off state, NOT the on state. If I hold it too long I get the blinking LEDs which is linking mode. Quote
Brian H Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Does the switch go off when you pull the tab all the way out? It should. If not it maybe defective. Above 5.0 have the Air Gap Switch. Older ones had a different method to do a factory reset. All of mine are older. Quote

I should also add that it linked with the ISY fine and seems to work just fine. I am just not sure if it factory reset or not since it didn't follow the wiki behavior.... Tome Quote
tahoe Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 You don't have to hold it in 3 seconds to power it back up. Just push in the airgap button and it will come back to life after a couple of seconds. Then, you can do a link one of two ways, push in the set button for 3 seconds or hold the paddle for 10 seconds. Quote
