After my serial PLM died, I started looking for alternatives to insteon. I have three isy 994's in three different buildings, and a ton of insteon switches. Yes I swapped the daughterboard and its working again, and yes, I ordered a few USB PLM's from amazon as backups. I like the Brilliant controller. After all, there is a whole lot to like! Makes insteon look like a dinosaur. But now what to do with the rest of the house? I live in a decent sized house, that is highly automated. I see wifi switches as the future. I did order a HUE hub, (won't be here for a few days) Seems like someone with more skills than I, could write a policy Node. In fact I would pay someone $500.00 dollars to do this. Any Takers? How can I help? Here's the link to the product if you haven't seen one yet: https://www.brilliant.tech/home

Another way and probably a better way would be using a smartthings hub. It could be an addon module for ISY. It would certainly keep the ISY alive for a while longer...

I have several of the Brilliant controllers, but I don't use them to replace light switches, so I have no need to control the Brilliant from ISY.

I don't believe Brilliant has released an API, so that almost certainly rules out the possibility of node server.

It appears to me that the Brilliant controller(s) are intended to be the HA hub in a home, i.e., more of a replacement for the ISY than additional devices for the ISY to interface with. They are working on their own integrations with other device vendors. This is a shame, but is unfortunately the way most device manufacturers have thought about deployment of HA products for three decades. There are very few exceptions.

I did register an interest in an API (providing my email address) so hopefully I will hear if they ever release one.

Think of the Brilliant controller as an alternative to all those apps on your phone.  Controls for Sonos, Ecobee, Hue, your doorbell, door locks, an intercom, all rolled into one and stuck on the wall.  There is Alexa too, which I don't use and know little about.  I think there may be some "automation" possibilities down that road, but I don't know.
