I wanted to share my experience with Universal Devices customer support.

I have been a user of the ISY 994i for several years . I originally started with am older generation ISY and upgraded along the way. I have always been able to get things working  with an occasional assist from Tech support  here and there but recently I decided I wanted to use the Portal interface so I could integrate Alexa into my smart home.

I originally tried to set up the Portal just so I could remote access into my system but was never able to get it working and temporarily gave up. As my System evolved I started to use some Alexa (Echo) devces and added a few Wifi switches and lights but most of my system was all either Insteon or Zwave and Alexa can not natively talk to them so I started trying to get the Portal working again. After lots of effort on my own I reached out to Universal Devices, Michael Koham particularly. We had several online tickets opened and he eventually told me My Frontier Router was the problem so I called then and they did some  online trouble shooting and determined my Router was indeed failing and sent me an updated replacement.

So after replacing my bad router I still was having trouble getting the Portal to connect to my ISY. I once again reached out to Michael and sent him an error log. He asked me to try a few things on my end to no avail and I asked if it was possible for him to remote into my system. I offered to pay for his services. Within 5 minutes I got a message asking me to click on a link and he was online and in remote into my PC. MIcheal was able to find the problem in just a few minutes and everything was working as it should. I asked what do I owe you for your Services and he said Just a Happy Satisfied Customer. This is the best customer service I have ever received from any tech company.

So that is why I am here to Personally Thank Michel and Universal Devices for there Premium 5 Star service. I Highly recommend them

Sincerely, David Frederick
