mvgossman Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 I've had some glitches with my T1800 Venstar thermostat which I use via the ISY994 and Mobilinc. It's not pleasant when I'm heading to the cabin 6 hours away and it's 50 degrees in there. So I'm considering replacing it with something else, anyone had a positive experience with one? There are a couple Honeywell ones. There's the Nest which I figured I wouldn't want in the cabin setting since I'm there irregularly and have no need for it to learn my temperature habits, but it does have a manual mode I just learned. There are many others. Mitch
larryllix Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 I have used many different brands over the years... ecobee, hands down! You will need a Node Server and that takes polyglot 2 or 3, with a RPi or polisy box.
Techman Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 (edited) I've been using the Venstar T7900 for years with no issues. It has built in wi-fi and API. Here's the link: https://developer.venstar.com/documentation/ Edited April 12, 2022 by Techman
