I've just installed jre-8u333-windows-x64.exe on Windows 11 64-bit.  When I attempt to run start.jnlp, a dialog box flashes for a millisecond then disappears and the ISY Finder doesn't appear.

Am I using the wrong java version?

Try clearing your Java cache, including applications, then download the ISY launcher. If that doesn't resolve the problem then you may need to also install the 32 bit Java, which is Version 8, Update 331.

That appears to be the correct file name, did it come from https://java.com/en/download/

JNLP has been deprecated in java.  OpenWebStart is a re-implementation for newer Java Versions:

https://openwebstart.com/

I installed this application, downloaded the .jnlp file from my ISY, and was able to run with OpenJDK 11 (looks like it was installed as part something on the MS side).  I'm going to try to upgrade to OpenJDK 18, but OpenWebStart worked great.

Java 8 (oracle) from https://www.java.com/en/ is the only officially supported java.  While you've perhaps had good look running alternative Java's, the java runtime from https://www.java.com/en/ is the only version that UD support can/will support.
