ERROR: Cannot determine device link table address

This is on attempting to add an IOLinc module directly by specifying the device address. The dialogs that popped up showed that IoP had located the device, queried the type correctly, but then errored out. Is this an issue with the IOLinc, or something to do with IoP?

As you can see, it is an older IOLinc, so it could be sick. I did factory reset it.

I tried adding the same device by putting it into link mode, did get the bright flashing light. But, no device added.

An odd turn ...

To help keep it straight:

IOLinc X - failed unit
IOLinc A - tried to add
IOLinc B - additional spare unit

I started off with a factory reset on IOLinc A. (I also tried adding another spare IOLinc B after a factory reset, identical error)

I had an IOLinc X that had failed (the reason for this sequence), I was in the process of trying to rehabilitate with a factory reset, restore, etc., the usual thing, then decided to replace, so adding IOLinc A.

Usually you just move the programming over with a Replace, so I hadn't removed the failed IOLinc X, it had the 1010 green write bars. And during the add device process for IOLinc A, in the admin app it did actually flicker to WRITING on this dead IOLinc X, and then back to 1010.

ANYWAY, I deleted the dead IOLinc X altogether, and then tried adding the new IOLinc A.

This time it worked!

Weird.
