roberthleeii Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 I am playing with my new Polisy and want to install a weather NS but there are so many. Some are free some are not, I don't mind paying a little but would like to know what I am getting and what people who have experience suggest....

Do you have a Personal Weather Station or plan on getting one? If you do then use a NS based around your PWS. If not then use a NS based around a Weather service you prefer. @bpwwer is the defacto "Weather Man"
bpwwer Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 Almost all of the weather services have a free subscription plan. That allows you to at least use the services web site to see what data it is providing and how accurate it is for your location. I tried to make most of the weather service node servers as similar as possible so there really isn't much difference there. It really comes down to finding one that has the data you want and that best serves for your location.
andyclay Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 So the only way to find a weather source that has the features your looking for is to install each weather polygot and then see what is offered? There isnt anywhere that list the data that will be available for each? I've very very "green" to the polisy polygot world and I'm a bit intimidated at the prospect of having to activate so many sources successfully... For the record I'm looking for a data field that shows the high temp of the current day "so far". I think this value was part of the old weather link that the isy originally had many years ago.
bpwwer Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 For each node server in the store you can click on the node server name it should take you to a page with more info. For the various weather service node servers, this page will list what fields each support.
