I have an on/off z-wave power device that is only used in the summer. With an Insteon device I would just disable it in the Admin Console and unplug it until the next time it was needed.

Should the same be performed with z-wave devices when they're not needed?

I see in the Admin Console a z-wave device can be disabled, what does that accomplish?

I wasn't sure if there was anything else that needed to be done when removing a device from the z-wave network.

I use this when I want to disable a Z-Wave device and it works for me.
