mitch236
I am using the 2412S PLM with my ISY 99i Pro Ir and today, I couldn't log into the Admin console so I went to the ISY first and checked the status lights. All was well. Then I decided to unplug the PLM for 10 seconds to reset the system and it was hot!!! I mean almost too hot to hold in my hand! Should I return it? What could be causing this? Brian H
That sounds too warm. Where you doing anything that may have kept it transmitting signals like in a Query or adding many items to the network? It could have been some power line spike confused the PLMs microcontroller and it locked into a strange state. The power cycle may have cleared it. If you let it cool down could you then reconnect to the ISY and Admin Console? Link to comment
mitch236
I'm reconnected already. All I had to do was to restart the system. It seems there was ongoing activity because I recall seeing the Rx light on the ISY was lit when I first checked it. I suppose there was some loop of activity although I can't imagine what it would be. Is there a log file I can check? Link to comment
mitch236
I viewed the UDReport and there was no reported activity just before I reset the PLM/ISY. There must have been some sort of loop. Link to comment
Sub-Routine
Is the PLM still within the 2 year warranty? I have to suggest a call to Smarthome. Rand Link to comment
