EJones01 Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 (edited) I followed the instructions to migrate. Answered all the questions and made the backup. The instructions say it should reboot...but its been 20 mins and it hasn't? Do I manually reboot, will it automatically start to restore, do I remove the old dongle, do I do a restore, what events should we be looking for in the event viewer? The instructions are not very clear. FYI: I only have 2 Z-Wave devices. v5.5.4 Edited January 28, 2023 by EJones01
EJones01 Posted January 28, 2023 Author Posted January 28, 2023 (edited) OK...its been an hour....so shutdown, removed the old dongle and rebooted. After a few minites the new board seems to have been recognized as the Z-Wave menu appeared. My two Z-Wave devices are showing red ! What next? Edited January 28, 2023 by EJones01

Techman Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Assuming that you haven't installed any programs or Insteon devices I would do a factory reset on the eisy, by pushing the button 10 times. After the eisy boots up, click on update packages, then you'll also need to clear your java cache, including applications and applets and then download the IoX launcher. Prior to linking the Zwave devices click on the Migrate button and select the bottom option Being that you only have two devices, it's best to factory reset them, and factory reset the Zmatter board then reinstall them.
EJones01 Posted January 29, 2023 Author Posted January 29, 2023 Yep...ended up deleting and re-adding the Z-Wave devices. Not a very smooth update at all. All running Ok now though.
