I installed the new Ring node server recently . I have Policy. I upgraded to v 5.6.0 first then I enabled IOX capability. Then I followed the instructions in the email. The ring node server was installed, but it didn't work. On the control node, when I clicked on Test Ring the test results showed Failed. The programs I had written did not respond to the doorbell. After trying several things, I read the More Info page on the pg3x ring entry. It said that:

  1. PG3 Remote connection must be enabled
    • Settings are in Portal under Select Tools | Maintenance | PG3 Remote connection

When I did that, everything worked. Since not everyone will have Remote Connection enabled, you might want to make a note of this in the requirements and instructions.

    3. Adjust your preference.
