AMann Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Just received my new eisy to replace a ISY-994i. I was able to set it up (so I thought) using the QR code and received no errors, but now when I add the new device in the ISY finder and open the admin console, it is completely empty/blank. Any advice/help? Thanks.
MrBill Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Did Finder find the eisy or did you need to manually add it in the Finder window? If you needed to add it did you include a port number? 8080 for http, or 8443 for https. http://192.168.1.222:8080/desc https:/192.168.1.222:8443/desc of course your IP address will be different. ISY994 didn't need a port number, eisy does.
Techman Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Are your firmware and UI the same version? Try removing power from the eisy for about 30 seconds.

ISY994 didn't need a port number, eisy does. finder did not see it automatically. I manually added it with the port (two separate rows - one for 8080/http and one for 8443/https) just to test both - no difference. I couldn't have gotten as far as I did with the blank screen without the correct URL

I did what you suggested. No change. Still blank admin UI. Firmware is 5.5.9. No idea about UI version since the screen is blank and there is only a File menu (see screenshot). No Help-->About menu to even find out.
Solution Techman Posted June 14, 2023 Solution Posted June 14, 2023 Are you on a PC or MAC? Clear your java cache including checking the box "all installed applications", then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp Let me know if that resolved the issue.

Actually, installing from the above location worked - I didn't have to clear the java cache. Thank you!!!
Techman Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 You now need to update the eisy to the current firmware. Click on "update packages" in the configuration tab. It could take a while for the update to complete. This will update your firmware to 5.6.2 After the update you'll need to clear the java cache and then download the IoX Launcher again
