johnf Posted April 3, 2010 Share Posted April 3, 2010 Just got my Ipad. I have been using Mobilinc on my Iphone for some time with no problems. When I synched the Ipad with Itunes it loaded Mobilinc and the mobilinc icon displays on the Ipad. When I launch Mobilinc, its splash screen comes up momentarily and then closes. I did check the mobilinc setting on the Ipad's setting application and set the Internal IP address to match what I have on the Iphone. Same results. Iphone works, Ipad does not. Acoba Posted April 4, 2010 Share Posted April 4, 2010 I am also having similar issue. Mobilinc will not work on my ipad. I matched the settings to the one on my itouch but no go. I did however notice something which may be the issue. The UUID of ISY on the ipad has no values like in the itouch and it grayed out such that you can not edit it. Turns out Apple's advertisement about iPhone apps working on the iPad were not totally true. There are some differneces and one of those differences causes MobiLinc to crash on startup on the iPad. I've identified the code that needs to change for the iPad and am testing the fix. I should have this released to Apple this weekend. I'll post back when Apple has it for review. Here are the following features and fixes in 2.13.00 for the ISY users: - Fix to allow MobiLinc to run on the iPad and iPhone/touch. - My Settings new options: - Startup Password: If enabled, MobiLinc will now require the Insteon controller's password to use MobiLinc. - Guest Mode: If enabled, MobiLinc will default launch into My Favorites and require the Insteon controller password to leave My Favorites. - Prevent Sleep: If enabled, MobiLinc won't allow the iPhone/touch/iPad to go to sleep. - Added SwitchLinc types 1.25.x.x and 1.30.x.x. - Programs on the Favorite page show program status. - Modules listed in the scene module list are now sorted A-Z. - Other bug fixes. But now I get a "failed to connect - cannot connect to host error. Can you please provide some guidance on how to configure to allow connection? My iPhone still connects a works fine. InsteonNut Posted April 17, 2010 Share Posted April 17, 2010 Hi helipal, Two ways to address this: 1. Go into My Settings and verify your ISY Local IP address. Also check to be sure that the Connect Method is set to Auto. 2. Remove MobiLinc from your iPad and reinstall using iTunes. Make sure your iPad is connected to your home WiFi network and start MobiLinc. MobiLinc will auto find your ISY and configure itself. Wes Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
