Usage for Flume in Eisy

Featured Replies

I have a flume and a Rachio.  I automate just about everything I can in the house.

How are you using Eisy, Flume and Rachio to automate?  I guess I can see a scenario where "if I put down x number of gallons in watering Zone 1, shut off watering of zone 1."  What else are you all doing with it?

I have a Flume and a Rain Machine controller. I use it to detect problems in a given circuit. If > x + 1 gallons is running where x = expected flow, I send an alert to check for a problem with that circuit. I have a large yard with 20+ circuits and due to dogs, squirrels, and gophers etc., have frequent problems, especially with the drip irrigation.

@stevehoyt I like it.

Right now I have a 4 zone Rachio 2.  This winter, going to install about 12 drip zones across the front and back yard and move to Rachio 3 16 zone.  Having that monitoring with Flume is great idea.

This weekend Im changing out my rainbird rotors for Hunter MP rotators.  My fun project in 90 degree weather...  ;)  But that is outside of automation...

Anyone else have any cool uses of Flume with their sprinkler system?  Or in home?

Im thinking home, I can do a if leak turn off main home valve.  I have leak detectors everywhere but pipe could burst where leak detector isnt.
