mitch236 Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 I was using a Netgear router/modem with wireless to control my network. Anyone who has been on this forum in the past two months must have noticed I've had small issues with reliability of some of my devices and most notably, my iPhone app (Mobilinc). Because of poor wireless coverage in my house, I decided to add an access point centrally located and disable the Netgear's wireless capability. Instantly, I noticed a faster, more reliable Insteon network. I know it doesn't make much sense (at least to me). The only explaination I can think of is that having wireless blasting in my structured wiring cabinet must have some issues for the ISY (which is mounted right next to the router). Anyway, I am very happy! I have a fast, reliable Insteon network. If anyone can explain why I experienced what I did, please do so. I like to understand technology.
jkraus Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Facinating! By "faster" you mean from some trigger until respsose, or do you mean on the web interface admin consol?
