domotinc-customs Posted December 26, 2023 Posted December 26, 2023 good morning! been looking around for like 30 minutes. where can I see which zwave devices have direct communication with the zmatter dongle? (and also see which devices do not have direct communication with eisy) thanks!
Techman Posted December 26, 2023 Posted December 26, 2023 You could right click on a device, click on X-ray, then node info.
domotinc-customs Posted December 26, 2023 Author Posted December 26, 2023 that what I get with the zen72 in the same room as eisy which value should I look at? <nodeInfo> <node flag="128" nodeDefId="ZY066_1"> <address>ZY066_1</address> <name>SS-Rangement-D</name> <family>12</family> <hint>0.0.0.0</hint> <type>4.17.1.0</type> <enabled>true</enabled> <deviceClass>0</deviceClass> <wattage>0</wattage> <dcPeriod>0</dcPeriod> <startDelay>0</startDelay> <endDelay>0</endDelay> <pnode>ZY066_1</pnode> <rpnode>ZY066_1</rpnode> <sgid>1</sgid> <custom flags="192" val1="0"/> <devtype> <gen>4.17.1</gen> <mfg>634.28672.40962</mfg> <cat>119</cat> </devtype> <property name="" uom="51" formatted="100%" value="100" id="ST"/> </node> <properties> <property name="" uom="51" formatted="100%" value="100" id="ST"/> </properties> </nodeInfo> and that's the zen72 that I believe to be as far from eisy <nodeInfo> <node flag="128" nodeDefId="ZY059_1"> <address>ZY059_1</address> <name>2e-Thomas-D</name> <family>12</family> <hint>0.0.0.0</hint> <type>4.17.1.0</type> <enabled>true</enabled> <deviceClass>0</deviceClass> <wattage>0</wattage> <dcPeriod>0</dcPeriod> <startDelay>0</startDelay> <endDelay>0</endDelay> <pnode>ZY059_1</pnode> <rpnode>ZY059_1</rpnode> <sgid>1</sgid> <custom flags="192" val1="0"/> <devtype> <gen>4.17.1</gen> <mfg>634.28672.40962</mfg> <cat>119</cat> </devtype> <property name="" uom="51" formatted="100%" value="100" id="ST"/> </node> <properties> <property name="" uom="51" formatted="100%" value="100" id="ST"/> </properties> </nodeInfo>
Techman Posted December 26, 2023 Posted December 26, 2023 Not sure exactly what it is you're looking for. If the devices work as expected and their status displays correctly in the admin console then all is good. Zwave is a mesh network, alll a/c powered devices relay their data. There's is no way that I know of to tell if a device is communicating with the Zmatter dongle directly or via a relay in the Zwave mesh network.
domotinc-customs Posted December 26, 2023 Author Posted December 26, 2023 everything works just fine. curious to know if I have many zwave devices not in direct range of the zwave dongle. maybe I could move my eisy elsewhere for things to work better. maybe I could change the antenna for a high-gain antenna. something like this: https://www.amazon.ca/wlaniot-Antenna-External-Connector-Security/dp/B07PZFV9NK not because it works that it can't work better
Techman Posted December 26, 2023 Posted December 26, 2023 If "everythihng works just fine" then I think you're looking for a problem that doesn't exist yet. If it's not broken then don't fix it. 2
