dblee1950 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 I want to just add a simple lux measuring capability to my eisy setup to control light programs. Will this work with eisy? Aeotec Z-Stick 7 Plus Aeotec ZWA005-C TriSensor Z-Wave Plus S2 I have no experience with Z-wave or Zigbee so am approaching this cautiously. I don't see the need for me to use the more expensive UD dongle, but would like your thoughts. thanks
Techman Posted January 13 Posted January 13 EISY supports the UD Zmatter dongle (zwave, Zigbee, and Matter). I'm not sure it will support a 3rd party Zwave controller. Any certified Zwave device that measures lux will work with the zmatter dongle. I think the ZWA005 was discontinued, not sure if it's still supported. 1
Solution GHenry Posted January 13 Solution Posted January 13 Yes!! I have the -A version of that sensor, and it works great with eisy and the UD Z-Matter USB dongle. I use it outside of normal programming times to turn on the lights when it's a particularly dark and dreary day (15 lux). Like you, I had never tried Z-Wave before, but installation is pretty much automated (though it took me a few tries to get all the details right). 1
